TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF CHESTERFIELDS DIRECT LTD
Payment and Delivery
- All prices are in British Pound Stirling and must be paid for in Stirling on orders.
- All furniture remains the property of Chesterfields Direct UK Ltd until paid for in full.
- A minimum 20% deposit is required on ordering for any standard orders within the UK .
- A minimum 50% deposit is required on ordering for any bespoke/custom made furniture includes customers own material orders.
- Payment in full is required on ordering for any non UK mainland orders including Northern Ireland .
- We will contact you to arrange delivery as soon as possible and require payment of the full balance of your furniture before delivery.
- Delivery will be booked in by ourselves, or one of our agents and we will try, wherever possible to accommodate any special circumstances i.e. working hours, access, upstairs.
- Customers are wholly responsible for making sure all furniture ordered will fit into designated areas i.e. doorways, alleyways, hall ways etc.
- Most non UK deliveries are to kerbside only. If you do require delivery inside the home or upstairs, there will be an extra charge which the customer is liable for either on ordering or on delivery.
- Any failed deliveries due to our own fault or our agents, will be redelivered without charge.
- Any failed deliveries due to customers own fault, will be re-charged the full delivery price before being re-delivered.
GUARANTEES
All our furniture comes fully guaranteed including all materials and manufacturing for 12 months.
All sofas and chairs come with a fully comprehensive 5 year frame guarantee.

All second hand refurbished furniture is strictly purchased from us with no guarantee and bought as seen. By purchasing a refurbished piece/set from us you are agreeing to this term and condition.
PRODUCT SPECIFICATION AND QUALITY CONTROL
All dimensions/colours of our goods which are quoted on our website are a guide only as there can be minor variations in the dimensions/colour ranges of the finished goods due to them being hand made from natural materials.
If you are in any doubt as to whether access into your property is going to be adequate, please contact our sales team for advice. We will not be responsible for access problems.The customer is liable for checking access and once inside the property the customer takes full liability for any problems.
. Goods are manufactured to be within reasonable commercial standards of tolerances for goods of their type and there can be minor variations in the dimensions/leather colours of the finished goods as compared to any dimensions/leather colours given on our website.
The furniture supplied by us is hand made using natural materials. As such the goods will have natural marks such as healed scars and natural markings, which signify genuine leather, and will not have the even and consistent finish, appearance and shape found in machined goods made with artificial materials or materials treated in order to achieve that effect. There will be minor variations in colour and appearance between on the one hand goods and on the other hand pieces on display in our showroom, our samples or on our website. You acknowledge that such characteristics and variations are not to be regarded as defects for the purpose of assessing whether or not the goods are of satisfactory quality or otherwise. There may be changes to the specification of goods due to changes made by the manufacturer or otherwise and but these changes will not materially affect the use, quality, appearance or performance of the goods.
There will be no price adjustment on account of specification changes, nor shall you be entitled to reject the goods on account of specification changes as aforesaid.
If the goods are delivered damaged or faulty or are otherwise incorrect, you must notify us within 24 hours of delivery and we will arrange to inspect the goods. If they are found to be damaged, faulty or incorrect we will repair or replace them as appropriate and arrange for the repaired or replaced goods to be delivered to you at no additional charge. Your notification under this clause should be put in writing and sent by e-mail, by telephone, or by letter delivered to the head office address.
We will accept the cancellation of an order subject to the following conditions:-
The goods must not have been made to your specification or otherwise personalised to your requirements.
The goods must have been delivered to an address within the United Kingdom .
If these conditions are satisfied, we will refund the price of the goods and the refund will be paid to you within 30 days of the date of cancellation. Your refund will be the price of the goods minus the cost of standard delivery/collection and minus any additional delivery costs and report costs/administration costs.
If you cancel, you are obliged to take reasonable care of any goods delivered to you, which must be kept in a never been used condition.
Goods supplied by us shall be at your sole risk as soon as they are delivered to the delivery address and it shall be your responsibility at your own cost to insure the goods in their full reinstatement value against all usual risks and to properly keep them until title has passed.

Commercial reproduction, distribution or transmission of any part of parts of the website or any information contained therein by any means whatsoever, without the prior written permission of Chesterfields Direct UK Ltd is not permitted.
